Course Description

Tafsir al-Qur’an al-‘Azim by Imam Ibn Kathīr

This comprehensive three-year program is centred on the renowned classical tafsīr work Tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-‘Aẓīm by Imam Ibn Kathīr. The course introduces students to the core themes, linguistic nuances, and theological, legal, and spiritual insights of the Qur’an. Special focus is placed on understanding the Qur’an through hadith, the sayings of the companions, and historical contexts. Students will develop advanced analytical skills in deriving rulings, identifying maqāṣid (objectives), and applying exegetical methods relevant to both traditional and modern contexts.

2. Aqeedah

Course Description

This one-year Aqeedah curriculum introduces students to the foundational beliefs of Islam through classical and contemporary texts. The first semester builds a basic framework of faith through the essential questions every Muslim must answer. The second semester dives deeper into the concept of Tawheed, its categories, and how it shapes Islamic practice and worldview. Emphasis is placed on clarity, critical understanding, and application of beliefs in everyday life.

3. Tazkiyah

Course Objectives

This program is designed to nurture spiritual purification (Tazkiyah) and Adab (Islamic etiquette) based on classical Islamic texts. Students will develop a deep understanding of self-discipline, character refinement, and ethical conduct according to Islamic teachings.

4. Hanfi Fiqh

Course Description

This one-year foundational Fiqh program introduces students to the science of Islamic jurisprudence, beginning with its historical roots and progressing through the essential rulings on purification, prayer, fasting, and zakāh. Grounded in the Mukhtasar al-Qudūrī, one of the most authoritative texts in the Hanafi school, students will develop both theoretical understanding and practical application of core worship-related rulings. This course places special emphasis on precision, clarity, and spiritual consciousness.

8. Usul al-Fiqh

Course Description

al-Wajīz fī Uṣūl al-Fiqh by Dr. Abdul Karim Zaydan

This course provides a foundational understanding of Usul al-Fiqh—the methodology by which Islamic legal rulings are derived from foundational texts. Based on al-Wajīz fī Uṣūl al-Fiqh, the curriculum introduces students to primary and secondary evidence in Islamic jurisprudence, focusing on tools of reasoning such as ijmaʿ, qiyās, istihsān, and more. Students will develop critical thinking skills to differentiate between types of legal proofs and understand the framework scholars use to extract rulings.
